Hi everyone:
I was wondering if i can still use Becker 2009 material to take the test in a few months. in 2009 most of the threshhold, deduction etc are 2008 related.
If i want to take the REG test in Oct 2010 would they test 2009 numbers or 2010? I am confused to which updates should I download from Becker site?
Please advice.

From the Becker site you would need to download 2009. I think they update the 2009 version updates to match current date, no ? Also, just know the AMT exemption amount changed and the insurance exemption ($100). Other than that, the 2009 tax laws vs. 2010 are pretty minor.
I would take the time to review the Supplemental information for R1 : 2010 edition update. Becker did a very weak job explaining the realized or recognized gain on a like kind exchange. They barely mention it but gave questions on it. The Supp information was very helpful for me. Good luck!
