I took REG and only completed about half the sims. I felt pretty good about the ones I completed, and I felt pretty good about the MCQs. But I ran out of time. Is it still possible for me to pass, or am I pretty much guaranteed to fail?

SIMs are worth 40 points, so you automatically lose 20 points (give or take, depending on whether you answered the pretest SIM). You could still get in the high 80s (all else being perfect) if you lucked out and didn't answer the pretest. Fingers crossed for you on score release!

I don't think you should harp on it at this point. You will know the result on August 4th. I know people that have bombed these exams, especially the SIMs, and they still get a passing score. I pretty much entered hogwash for FAR SIMs and passed on the 3rd try. I have felt pretty good about my REG SIMs to date, which I fully complete each time, and I have not been able to pass on 4 tries. I will say that, I finally feel like I got 5 of 6 SIMS almost 100% correct on my 5th try. But who knows, I may end up with a 74…

I would say be prepared to do a retake. Even if you did pretty well on the mcq's, they're only worth 60% of he grade. You need to get he additional points from the Sims. Plus you have to realize that some Sims are also pretest and will not count and you don't know which one. That's why you should be prepare to do a retake because you may not have earned enough points to pass if you didn't do half of the Sims.
