SMP73 stop that nonsense… you were one cheering me on in my moment of doubt. Of course that feeling will creep up on you and try to scare you. Don't let it. If you start thinking that way, you need some serious positive inner talk. Don't listen to the doubt. Repeat the confidence. You have put in the work. Trust the system, you will pass this time.

The best way to quiet that voice is to keep studying.

There have been multiple times you have posted something and I was like, oh crap, I need to know more… but then noticed you are sitting a month before more, so I didn't feel as bad. My point is, you seemed to know so much more than I did, and with good reason. You are ready for the test!

Just use these last few days to really drill the material into your brain.

And tell yourself you can do it.

    Because you can 🙂

SMP73 – You can do this, you are working so hard you know your stuff think positive.

Now if I could take my own advice….

I feel pretty good on a few topics (Property, Business Structure, Prof Responsibilities, Contracts, Commercial Paper ect) But Corp tax is not my friend i have been working around it all week. I am going to finish up all the other topics today (or i hope to) And then next week is back to Tax, Mostly Corp, Partnership I am ok at and Individual I understand, but Corp kills me! I don't know why. So next week is a review tax week HARD CORE. After every hour of tax i will do 15-20 min review on another topic to keep it fresh.

Happy Studying (Weather is SO nice here today and Husband wants to go get brunch…..break time???)

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

@LSNYC: I know if only I cold take my own advice. I am doing practice MC questions and as I do them I “hear” Jeff's voice in my head…like the audio on playback as to why the answer is right or why the others are wrong. Think thats a good sign!?

The weather is gorgeous here…but windy. Still going to take the dogs to the lake for a nice long (windy) walk after I do an hour of MC questions.

I think I am extra nervous for this one since my job basically depends on me passing. No pressure!

    OkieGasAcct: AMT

My understanding is AMT is used to collect additional taxes after making all of these funky adjustments to the regular tax liability.

When the regular tax liability is less than the funky AMT adjusted tax liability, you pay the difference (in addition to the regular).

But, don't get upset for being forced to pay this funky additional tax, because the lovely IRS will let you offset your future REGULAR tax liabilities with an indefinite carryforward credit. So you get the credit to use in the future if you have AMT now. The AMT Credit is the amount above the regular tax.

You still have to calculate and pay any AMT in the future, because the credit allowed can't be used to offset future AMT only regular tax liability.

I usually like to understand the concept, logic, and reasoning behind accounting rules. But this is one of the topics I'm not going to look much further into. It is, because the IRS says so.

Okay just did a practice MC question that I found funny (seriously this is my life) and thought I would share the funny part.

Mr. and Mrs. Pigg live in a brick house for 24 months. Then, for the next 24 months, they live in a traditional wood house. Then, for the next 12 months they live in a contemporary house made of stone.

Seriously a play on the Three Little Pigs. Made me laugh. 🙂 Hope everyone is having a productive day.

From R7 (Agency): “An employer (or master) is liable only for torts of an employee (or servant) and is usually not liable for torts of independent contractors.”

Seriously?! In what context do we still have master/servant relationships??

    REG Exam : April 6

MATERIALS: Yaeger home study, Ninja Notes, Gleim practice exam (only)

***** I didn't have enough time to go through all the Ninja Notes like I had planned. When I looked at certain areas after the exam in the Ninja Notes, IF I had I gotten all of the way through them I would've answered several more questions correctly. Get Ninja!!! Yaeger advised ONLY to do what their recommendations were as far as doing only the MC for Business Law that they go through in the video from the Wiley book and not doing Wiley Test bank ones as the video review was sufficient. I panicked on B. Law when I took the Gleim review test so I started doing a ton of B. Law MC in the Wiley Test Bank but turns out it wasn't necessary. Yaeger's recommendations along with Ninja Notes were sufficient.

I felt good walking out of the REG exam and felt prepared, but made some silly mistakes!!

I hope this next month goes fast as we have to wait for scores to come out May 6!! Brutal.

    B : 4/25

    A : 86 – Used Gleim Only

    R : 4/6 – pending score

    F : May 30

So…I listened to the entire NINJA audio already today and have somehow fit in about 60 MC questions and even “allowed” myself to take a walk at lunch. Hoping for a power night tonight…I have found that switching up my studying ever 45 minutes to an hour has been a huge help. MC, rewriting ninja notes, rewriting my own fact nuggets, reading weak areas and repeat. Seriously time to go all in…I can do this!

It is absolutely gorgeous here today! All I want to do is leave work and take a walk to the main street in my town get a drink and sit out side with my husband and enjoy the evening.

However my friend Mr. REG is getting on the way. So I am using this as motivation to study and pass this thing so no more nights are spent inside when I could be out enjoying life!

Power night! 4 hours is my goal!
