    Hi guys,

I have a friend who wants to start studying REG together. I wanted to know what’s the best way to approach this study group. It’s just going to be a group of 2 people.

Do you read together or come together to discuss notes?

    Do you take side-by-side-MCQs?

Do you just talk about the topics you’re struggling with?

How does a study group work and how does it help?

I think the closest I would come to studying for the CPA would be trying to set out a basic standard plan, like try and be at this topic by xx date etc etc and maybe meet up once a week to discuss it. Problem is, there is no way you progress together the same, so it'll end up just being unproductive.

Thanks guys, it does sound like it would be counterproductive. I can't picture how it would work. I want to keep us both motivated and have some sort of accountability but I don't see how we can study together.

@ Monkey – I like your idea. Keeps us independent and not completed alienated from each other.
