[Q1] REG Study Group 2014

    Sign me up for this study group. Planning on taking REG in late January, going to start studying 2nd week of December. Last time I study for a CPA exam ever I hope!

    A - 10/28/12 - Passed!!!
    B - 11/20/12 - Passed!!!
    F - 11/12/13 - Passed!!!
    R - 02/01/13 - Passed!!!

    Work Experience - Done!
    Ethics Exam - Boom! Done!

    I too am planning to take REG in Jan. I am aiming for the 17th but may push back a week or so.

    Checking in! Will be taking REG sometime in Feb. I REALLY would like to pass this exam on the first shot! Any re-takers in here have any advice for first timers like myself?

    FAR- PASSED (11/13)
    REG- PASSED (2/14)
    BEC- PASSED (5/14)
    AUD- PASSED (8/14)

    I took REG once earlier this year and was not prepared at all…. I knew that going into exam, my NTS was about to expire so I took exam as a “practice test” almost…. wow! It was difficult….

    I'm studying now for my re-take at end of January…

    An advice is to practice SIMs they take about 40% of grade… My sims were extremely difficult or perhaps since I had not study several parts yet, they seemed like that…

    I'm studying topic by topic with plenty of time. I won't move forward until I know the concepts of prior sessions.

    Another advice is to keep track of time… I honestly think 3 hours is not enough for this exam!

    Hi Guys! Yes I agree 3 hours is just not enough!! So definitely plan to spend the max of a 1.5 minutes on each multiple choice question so you have at least an hour for the SIMS. Anything you feel you are not understanding in REG make sure you do by the time your exam comes. It will be on the exam and every point counts! With that being said i will be re-taking my REG exam late January….Wish you guys all the best on your exams 🙂

    Sit for REG on 1/17/2013, which is 3 days after my birthday! Hopefull for a pass lol.
