Hi everyone! I am taking REG July 3rd… so I am pretty deep into studying. I have a question, I feel like this doesn't make any sense to me, but is this what Becker is telling me (Business Law portion):
If a minor enters into a contract, for example to purchase a computer, and they decide they don't want it, they can demand their money back but they do not have the return the item, simply because they are a minor? (Term is “disaffirm the contract”)
That doesn't make any sense to me, does this only apply to sales between individuals and not if a minor purchases something at a store? I just keep getting the MCQs wrong because logically, if the minor demands their money back, only days after turning 18, one would think they legally have to return the product, but the MCQs are telling me that the minor is not legally required to return the computer because the adult in the contract is still bound by the contract.
Am I missing something?! This is probably one MCQ on the exam, but it's really bothering me!
Thank you to anyone who can explain!
