Nope–Just individual tax and gift/trust/estate tax. I'm working through tax on property transactions now. I'm going to have to jump around some because I can't take all these tax chapters back to back. They are so boring. Of course, blaw won't be any more exciting.

yea its super boring now but who knows once we get good at it we might end up liking it. When i started studying for FAR i was like accounting sucks im never gonna pass this exam. Then once you understand it you like it.

I hope so because right now I want to slap anyone who was ever involved in creating these tax regulations. šŸ™‚

I took a week to read through all of the B law and professional responsibilities sections first so that I could really focus on tax.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

@CopyPasteMonkey I would suggest doing the tax part after business law. You would want the tax portion to be fresher in your mind, as it makes up a substantial part of the test, and it has a lot of minutia – especially individual taxation. I found corporate taxation easier than individual taxation.

I'm initially doing Tax first, then BLaw, then hard review of tax, then light review of BLaw, the back and forth review of both.

I just found out I passed REG, so I'm paying it forward…my study tips:

–>I used Ninja Audio…valuable for explaining things in a different way than my review guide. Jeff single-handedly taught me about property transaction rules.

    –>Hammer/attack the items you don't understand. I wrote & re-wrote & re-wrote & RE-WROTE rules for Sec. 1245/1250/291.

–>Post questions on here…this Ninja community is so awesome! I learned Sec. 1231 Netting/Lookback rules and DRD rules from this forum.

–>Most importantly, put in the time. It sucks, but most of your grade is gonna come from those lonnnng nites, early mornings, and awful study weekends šŸ™‚

    Good luck!

@kmc07002 How did you obtain your report? Only taken one test so FAR.. šŸ™‚

@julie thank you very much for the insight and CONGRATZ!

    @nycaccountant
haha I assumed that was the logic for the composition of it. Alright, BLAW and Ethics etc first

@kmc, my report told me the same thing, so I purchased Ninja MCQ and have been working those SIMS for the past few days. There are 69 sims total, so I think that'll give me the edge I need to (finally) pass REG next month. I suggest working them until you have them mastered. Repetition is key…..at least for me.

@copypaste, you get a score report if you fail (at least that's the case in my state)

@CPA Title, Thanks! I need to pass REG

@CopyPaste, each time you fail you get an email a few days after the score release with your grade report. It says comparable/weaker/stronger for each section. pretty helpful
