    I was practicing sims in Wiley test bank and i got an individual tax sim that required me to fill in the corresponding lines on the 1040 for the scenario. All that i was given was lines 7-37 with no description next to the line. For those of you that have taken REG before, should I be memorizing the lines of the 1040? Or was this just an error on Wiley's part?

    @JMOR

    Not required at all. Just focus on the concepts of what you are studying. No need to do the phaseouts etc too.

    Thanks! I didn't think that would be required, but thought I would ask.

    Thanks for asking that. I would have flipped out if I saw that SIM! Glad to know it's unnecessary to memorize the line numbers

    I'm just going to guess that it's not a good sign that I just looked at the tax brackets for individuals and couldn't figure out what the heck it meant. Month end is wiping me out. Is it even worth my energy to try to study tonight? šŸ™‚

    Dan T – I took my tests in Glastonbury – I actually took AUD in Springfield, MA and passed there… that was my lucky charm!

    Someone asked about doing bad on the first practice exam – I always do bad the first time and then improve from there – sometime it takes a few time to improve because there are different questions but it's normal.

    AUD - passed
    BEC - retake in July

    *This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently šŸ™‚

    Hello everybody. I want to join the group. I am planning to take REG sometimes in August. I use Wiley book and Ninja audio, notes and MCQ. I started reading Wiley in order they have it, but after checking this forum I am thinking of switching to Tax chapters first and then go back to Business Law. What is your opinion about it?

    Tax first, then BLaw, then serious review of tax and light review of BLaw–that's my plan.

    I'm trying to squeeze REG into a 4 week period, just so I can finish my exams before our fiscal year-end at work (June 30), and the business law section is about the most boring thing I've ever encountered (including family reunions). It's a real motivation killer.
