So I have been reading the REG exam experience lately and it seems like everyone struggles with the sims. Can someone please tell me they had a hard time with the mcq’s and not the sims and passed? Testlet two & three were awful for me and I could not tell if it was because I did not know the material (although its unlikely, I had a 77% trending score in ninja mcq’s) or because I was doing well on the testlets. Can’t wait for monday

rvcpa – I had a similar experience. When I got to testlet 2 I seriously wanted to raise my hand ask them if they set me up for the wrong exam. It was rough, and testlet 3 was no better. The SIMS were so-so. I had one that blew me away, but the for the others I felt I had a good go at them. When I left the exam, actually BEFORE I left the exam room, I KNEW I had just failed. A dreaded month later, when waiting for the score, I was hopeful that I made it in the 70's because that would show me that I was close enough to pass next time. I was blown away when I got a passing score! Monday will be here before we know it!

I passed REG and thought the MCQs were harder than the SIMs. I passed in Q2 this year. The SIMs were definitely challenging and they were not easy but I recognized all the topics and I didn't feel too bad about them after reviewing it all for a second time. The only problem I had was time management and I felt rushed through the entire SIM section because the questions asked required some thinking.

Oh and I thought testlet 1 and 2 were bad for REG. Testlet three took me no time at all and thought it was fairly easy. I'm guessing I did bad on Testlet 2 and got the easier testlet three and did well on the SIMs.

Good luck though! REG is a beast for sure.

CPAOneDayHopefullay- we have pretty similar experience hopefully that's a good thing.

CPA Chasing1- I feel a little better hearing that. I must have marked half my questions in testlet 2. testlet 3 came around and I marked like the first 5 or 6. It was rough. Testlet 1 was cake compared to the others.

The thing that really makes believe I failed is that I strugged a bit on the first testlet. My previous three exams I felt like I absolutely dominated the first testlet, and struggling on what I know for sure to be a medium testlet has me worried. Not to mention the rest of the exam and simulations were really hard haha

my first testlet went ok but I really dont think it was enough to carry me to a 75 lol

Yes, I had a horrible time with the REG MCQs and felt like I studied for the wrong test. It was really disheartening. I actually really like my REG sims and felt a bit better after going through those, but I didn't think it was enough for a pass. I got an 84.

It has been a while since I took REG but I remember thinking the MCQ were brutal. SIMs not so much.

Same. Reg is a craps shoot. I'm adding the Ninja notes and MCQ. Hopefully, that gives me a boost in early October
