I am right now studying for the last section of CPA exams i.e. REGULATION. Using Becker and studying B2 (first round), I am kind of lost I don’t know what to do? So many $ amounts and different thresholds. How you guys are handling this material? Individual taxation is so confusing and I don’t even know what sort of surprises I am going to get in further chapters. Feeling super nervous.

How you guys are preparing for this test? How to remember all the $ amounts limits? Anyone has any PDF or something which you can share? not even scoring 50%.

    What to do?

I asked the same questions when I started studying REG and honestly I learned most of it through repetition of MCQ. I was given the advice that I shouldn't focus on all of those thresholds and amounts because they are less likely to put on a test something that changes year to year. I found that to be fairly true of my two takes. For my last take I was scoring in the 50s early on, but going into the exam I was in the high 70s, low 80s for almost every section. It really does come with repetition. The more questions you do, the more those thresholds and limits start coming to you and the better scores you start to get. Good luck!

@mama what did you do differently to raise your score? Guess it's a moot point now since my re-take is in a week lol

I read the entire Wiley book, did all the MCQ from the book as I read through each section, took notes from the answer keys, hit up the MCQ and practice SIMS hard until test day, participated a lot in the study group and did a lot of quizzing on here. I've been following along the REG study group every so often and I think you have a good grasp Gabe. Don't switch up your strategy now. My best advice for you is to work on your weak areas. Make sure you get those and don't go into the exam with any gaps in your studying and understanding. You can do it Gabe!!

Thanks No_One! They are doing awesome! I have enjoyed this extra time with them so much. You are so close to having that extra time yourself. Knock REG out in April and be done with this exam forever!!
