So I am on week 3 of studying FAR and I have to decide in 2 days whether to move my FAR test date to the first week of October or keep it at the end of August so I dont get charged any penalty fees. I just finished chapter 5 and so far none of the chapters are easy to me (chapter 2 is insane). I get at best a 70% (very rare) and I usually get in the 50s or 60s on the homeworks. A majority of the questions I cannot answer without relying on my notes or the Becker book. I also have a hard time understanding a lot of the questions I get wrong. I havent really reviewed too much except for performance reviews every 3 or 4 days. I feel like there is no way I can pass FAR with only a month more of studying but I feel like I will collapse if forced to study this material through September. I am hoping that this next score release with my audit scores will give me some good results so I can have a boost of motivation but what do you guys think.

Pros: More time to study. Even if I take it in August and fail, I can still take it in the next window. Problem is i feel like i have absolutely no chance if I sit in august

Cons:If i take it in early october and fail, I have to wait until january to retake.

In the same boat. I'm keeping my exam date, hopefully I will be close enough.

It's hard to get your momentum until you hit F7: Stockholders' Equity and the end is in sight. Until then it's just all uphill. Like you I was doubting myself at F4/F5 and I clearly underestimated FAR going in. I am really dreading REG now.

Worst case scenario, second pass should be a little easier than the first.

During the first few weeks of studying for FAR I was lost as well, but it really all came together after 4 weeks of studying. It depends if you are studying full time or not too.. if you're working, maybe you should push it back. If you are committing 20-40 hours a week on studying, I would leave it.

I think its best to keep it because it gives you the chance to get it out of the way sooner. And if you fail, you can just reschedule it for end of October, which will give you half of September and all of October to study, and it will still be fresh in your mind since you just took it in August.

Working full-time, with young kids and a wife. I just started prepping for FAR yesterday and my exam is scheduled for Aug. 31. I should be able to get all the studying I need to using a modified ELL plan. At least 2 hours before work, about 30 min at lunch, and 2-3 hours at night during the week. I then wake up at 5 am on the weekends and study until a little after noon. This study schedule got me through the BEC material in 3 weeks and AUD in a little over 4 weeks. I'll know if it was enough on Aug 24th when I get my AUD score.

    AUD - 07/27/2015 88
    FAR - 08/31/2015 80
    REG - 11/30/2015 73, 04/18/2016 80 Done!!!
