Restudy plan for FAR?

So, I had a pretty horrific FAR testing experience due to my poor study habits. The three topics I did not cover comprised about 35-40% of my exam I would say. I am certain I did not pass the exam, and considering the day on which my exam fell, it may be some time before I get the score.

Right now, even though I am in busy season, I am thinking about hitting the ground running again with FAR. For re-testers of FAR, what did you find to be the most effective way to approach the information the second time around. Re watch all Becker lectures, note taking, start from the beginning or where you thought you were weak?

Any feedback you can provide would be helpful. Just the thought of going back over F-1 and F-2 again is making me nauseous, but I can’t help but feel like that foundation material is critical to re-review first.

I would just say to work a lot of MCQS and make note cards as you go. But hey my first exam is on the 26th what do I know lol?

Focus on your weak areas. I typically tried to pull in 4 hours a day studying, and when I did I would do 50% overall review and 50% on areas I wasn't as strong in: MCQ's, practice sims, notecards, re-reading chapters and rewatching lectures. I know a problem I had initially that I think a lot of people have is to spend too much time reviewing material you already know. Some areas you will always have a harder time with than others but that doesn't mean you can't be as prepared as possible to handle them.

    Means you passed. Seriously.

I was so sick after my 3rd attempt at AUD, knew for certain I failed. Was so frazzled I forgot my drivers license at prometric and had to go back to retrieve it (insult to injury). I cried the whole way home, didn't treat myself to my usual “I survived an exam” lunch, and went home to lock myself in my room to start studying again uninterrupted.

    Ended up with an 84.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

I would start by covering all of the material.

    Then review it all.

I was going to rewatch all videos, but went with the Cram instead. It's funny, because I notice when covering topics in the cram I recall details that they skipped from the first time through.

And then work MCQs like your CPA depended on it.
