Anyone have any recommendations or suggestions regarding resume’ writing sites in terms of format, content, etc.

I graduated college nearly 20 years ago and am in need of assistance with this. I’m self employed and have a bevy of experience to draw upon, but need some guidance into what should and should not be incorporated into a resume’, as well as format, cover letter etc.

List whatever experience you have relating to the position you are apply for. For example, when I applied for accounting positions, I didn't put down the serving job at a restaurant I had, but rather my accounting internship. However, during the interview I brought it up because I think serving in a restaurant strengthens communication skills with customers/clients. That was key, because you can have a guy that had a 4.0 in college, but is a mute/ghost in front of a client.

Thanks. Any recommendstions for sites that discuss format and other items that should or should not be included. I am sure googling it will yield a multitide of results but the members here always have good recommendations which cuts down on sifting through the good stuff from the less good.
