Retaking an exam

I unfortunately failed my first exam during the last testing window. I’d like to register to sit for the exam again, but I’m unsure of how to do so…

Do I have to apply again to my state board to determine eligibility and pay another $50 fee (I understand that the individual exam cost must obviously be paid)? I’m unsure of the steps involved. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks so much.

You just need to apply for a new NTS and pay the fees to sit again.

I'm not sure how it works for non-NASBA states, but I go to the main NASBA site when I need a new NTS. Just fill out the information again, click through a lot of menus, pay a ton of money, and wait about a week.

    FAR: May 1st, 2014 - 91
    AUD: May 29th, 2014 - 97!
    BEC: July 16th, 2014 - 91
    REG: August 29th, 2014 - 88

I'm in CA, a NASBA state. Here were my steps:

Apply for a new NTS, which meant paying a re-application fee of $50

    Mail it

Once I get an update on my online account, I select my sections and pay the exam fee

When the exam payment clears, I schedule my exam at the prometrics website.
