zooyuka - I used Becker and my approach was to take notes on each Chapter. As I continued through the Chapters, I would read over my notes from previous chapters every day or two. That way I kept the information fresh in my mind. Also, I used Becker flashcards which helped keep things fresh as well. I carried them with me and anytime I had a free moment I would pull them out and review a few.
If you are studying for FAR, I definitely recommend doing progress tests after every 2nd or 3rd Chapter. There is just so much material in FAR that I feel this is important to do.
During my final review, I also used Jeff's Notes to reinforce what I had learned. It was quite helpful to have an additional set of notes - sometimes things were stated differently than the way I looked at it and it really helped. He also stressed things that he found to be most important. A good investment in my opinion!
Best of luck to you on your exams.
