NINJA Question –

Hey, everyone. This is primarily directed towards people who have used Roger’s ‘new’ IPQ software. 5,000+ AICPA questions, etc.

What are your thoughts on it? For the record, I have the Ninja 10 point combo as well as Roger’s review course. I love Jeff’s material, it’s awesome. But I always hear people talking down about Roger’s MCQs, and honestly, with this ‘new’ IPQ revamp of his, it seems very comparable to Ninja MCQs, I’ve even run into similar questions. (PLEASE JEFF DON’T KILL ME)

I just wanted to hear some people’s input on Roger vs Ninja as far as the MCQs go. I’m primarily looking for people’s opinions who have experience with Roger’s ‘new’ stuff. (Sorry for being repetitive.)

You know when this change took place. I worked on Roger's BEC's question about three weeks ago, and they were as easy as before. The only significant change I saw was that now you can't answer questions per section. You have to read the whole chapter and then answer the questions. The ninja questions are a lot harder.

I had Ninja and Roger for Audit… Roger lectures for Audit are awesome. I did see practically the same Qs but maybe Ninja had better explanations overall. Depends if you like learning with the lecture or just reading a book and doing MCQs.

@Martin, damn, man. Honestly, I don't have any experience with Roger's old system. I'm over here feeling super good that I'm doing great at Roger's IPQs, little did I know that they were actually ‘easy' still.

@Claudia408, see this is the thing….. people have been saying they see the same questions, while others are saying Ninja is harder. I think I'm going insane?

jasoncancio, the problem with Ninja in BEC is that when your review course is either Becke or Roger, and you try to work the ninja questions, you start to feel discouraged cause a good percentage questions are not just hard, but they ask for material that none of the two review courses have covered. I did not have this problem with Audit and Roger. Hands down, he is the best Audit instructor I have ever met, and I will tell you tomorrow if he is as good for BEC. If you don't want to be a bit lost with ninja, and you want something more similar to Roger questions, but a lot harder, you should go with Wiley Test Bank. Although I think that the real exam questions were more like Ninja's test bank.

@martin, thanks for your input. I'm going through FAR right now, so I don't know much about how BEC between them works out.

@Jason – i really think they are the same! at least for audit… and maybe it's the same only recently bc of Roger's revamp or whatever he did. I only started with Roger in October so I don't know what his old MCQs were like.

Claudia408, which review course were you using on your first two attempts with BEC? Did you feel that Roger was enough for BEC?

@Martin – I only had Roger for Audit and now Reg. For BEC I had Wiley and Ninja 10pt combo. For BEC, Ninja is better for cost accounting but Wiley is better for everything else.

All review courses get their questions from the AICPA so you are going to see similar questions in Becker, Ninja, Wiley etc. I like the layout of Ninja and also Rogers questions platform is fairly new so he is still going through the growing pains. Some review courses like Gleim will add questions from CMA exam which makes some of their questions harder. I know last window when I took audit Roger had not upgraded and his questions were super easy and had too many glitches so I relied only on Ninja. I have started on BEC and haven't worked any questions yet but I do plan to supplement with Ninja.

I found that some of answers in same questions for AUD in Ninja and Roger are different. I do not know who to follow..
