    Hi Everyone,

I am taking REG and BEC in July.I tried Gleim’s demo and loved everything on Gleim but just the lecture was so boring. UWorld Roger CPA Review instead was so fun to watch. I watched a few his lectures on Youtube. But I do really like Gleim’s test bank and everything except the lectures. Please advise which one should I buy.

Also, Do you have any good suggestions on BEC study material?

Thank you in advance for your response!

I use Gleim. REG has an okay lecture in my opinion . Not as fun as Roger, but its to the point and helps you understand. However for BEC (what I am studying now), I couldn't get past chapter 2 in lectures. The instructor is foreign and has such a thick accent, I had to strain just to understand what he was saying easily. I did just audiovisual after chapter 2 and am in review mode now. I think BEC is sufficient without lecture for Gleim, but you may need it for REG.

note: I am a bit OCD and the instructor for REG kept getting haircuts. Obviously it was filmed in many many segments. The haircut jump even in the same 20 minute video almost drove me insane…. But that was just me 😉

    FAR - 08/30/15 - 90
    AUD - 11/12/15 - 92
    REG - 01/19/16 - 82
    BEC - 02/29/16 - 83

Passed all on 1st attempt using GLEIM (full program) and NINJA (MCQ only)!!!

You can't go wrong with any of the well known courses but I would go with Roger and supplement with Ninja MCQs. Even though I would wait halfway through my study to buy anything else, an idea might be supplementing your BEC study with a Ninja book or Ninja notes. I have not felt a need to buy any other Ninja products but they seem pretty well rounded according to many people on these forums.

Basic rule is to learn the material well, practice MCQs and simulations, and all of these courses provide that. Roger's lectures simplifies FAR and AUD incredibly well and he is surely engaging. You will need that for longer sections.

I would only get Roger if you are placing all of your stock in the lectures, otherwise Gleim is a better bet. It's cheaper and gives your everything you need to pass the exam (sim wizard, audio powerpoints, lectures, detailed outline, summerized outline, and the best layout for MCQs).

Edit: Jeff take the child lock off of my account. None of my posts ever show up!

I have used nothing but Gleim and passed FAR and AUD on the fist attempt.

The lectures can be boring but they are effective. The Gleim lecturer for FAR isn't too bad.
