Score Appeal

I was just poking around CPA Central since they updated it last weekend, and had never been to the NASBAstore before. So I go there, and saw this:

“Score Appeal” is different from a “Score Review” which is, as we all know, useless. Anyone else know this existed? Know anyone who did it? I’ve never heard of it before, and have never read about anyone doing it. $100/question is pretty steep, and it says historically, a score has never been changed because of it.

Anyway, Happy 4th of July, everyone. Back to the books for me. T-minus 3 days and counting!

Sounds like a good way for NASBA to make more money and candidates to get absolutely 0 benefit, frankly. Never heard of it, but seems like the same basic thing as a score review, except a little more piecemeal.

    FAR - 79 (11/27/13)
    AUD - 76 (2/1/14)
    REG - 77 (5/30/14)
    BEC - 88 (7/18/14)

    MN Ethics - 100% (3/9/14)

    AND DONE! 8/1/14

The only benefit I see is being able to see all the questions you answered wrong. I would have liked that after failing REG the third time. It sounds like the only thing you have to pay for is if you choose to appeal any questions. If you lived in TN, or were planning to visit there, it seems like this would be a really nice thing to get to do.

Agreed on that point, wonder how they prevent you from going to do that and then taking the test again, though? I'm guessing you don't see the CORRECT answers, just what you answered and if it was wrong? So many questions on this process… could be interesting, for sure. I'm just strongly opposed to giving NASBA any more money than is absolutely necessary. 😛
