    Hi,

Does anyone know after how long the scores are updated on the State board’s website. I got the score notification email but the score is not updated on the Virginia board’s website. I want to apply for my license. Does anyone know how long will it take?

I just made a post about the same situation without seeing yours, so I tried deleting it but not sure how.

I'm also a VA candidate and mine hasn't been updated yet either, so I think it's just a timing thing, but I don't recall it ever taking more than a week for any prior exams

    FAR: 64 (Yaeger), 83 (Becker/BLITZ)
    REG: 74 (Becker), 75 (Becker/BLITZ)
    AUD: 68 (Becker), Retake 3/7
    BEC: 4/13

For FL they update some time after the testing window closes. I took 2 in quarter 3 last year and they both showed up sometime in September I believe. So if VA is like FL I would say during March.

At the sake of sounding oblivious…I have no clue what's going on here. I'm assuming we aren't talking about the NASBA website. Where on the state board website would our scores be?

    AUD - July 2014 - 76
    REG - August 2014 - 82
    FAR - November 2014 - 78
    BEC - January 2015 - 81

    DONE!!!!

Used Becker online. Who needs a text when you can burn your eyes out staring at the screen for months on end?

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you're hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

    FAR - November 2014 - 78
    BEC - January 2015 - 81

I'm a Virginia candidate as well and for my last exam it took a little over two weeks after the score release through NASBA for the BOA to indicate the update on their page. When I first started testing back in early 2014, Virginia would usually post score updates within a few days of score release, but for the last two quarters they've taken longer than usual.

    Hi Amandilee –

You are registered from Virginia and you might know this. So I gave FAR 1/24/15 and my Audit was expiring 1/31/15. I got my score on 2/23 and I passed FAR which was my last section. I want to make sure that I got credit for all the exams. The score report from NASBA says credit in all the parts. But I heard some boards have different requirements they count the date on which you sit for the exam not the date you passed your first exam. I have tried contacting Virginia board but haven't heard back anything yet. I am really scared right now don't want to lose credit for my 2 exams.

I never knew it was on the VA board website! hahaha. I'm in VA also – can someone post the link?

@rossk, based on the Candidate Bulletin the VBOA has on their site, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. As far as I can tell, in Virginia you just have to sit for your final exam (and subsequently pass it) before the date on which the credit for your first passing exam score expires at the end of the 18 month window. For more detailed info, the VBOA Candidate Bulletin can be found here: https://www.boa.virginia.gov/CPAExam/WhatIsTheCPAEXAM.shtml#CandidateBulletin. I've also found that you can get answers to your questions, even detailed ones, faster through the live chat feature on the VBOA site than through email. So long as their office is open when you initiate a chat, it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes or so to ask your question and receive an answer. Even though I'm pretty positive your exam journey is over with your passing FAR score, you can always try to get in contact with someone at the VBOA through live chat tomorrow if you still haven't heard from them. And as I'm sitting for FAR again tomorrow, I hope to join you on the other side of exam candidacy soon! 🙂

@Allegra, the link you are looking for is here: https://secure1.boa.virginia.gov/eGov/Login.aspx. Once you login with the credentials you set up when you initially applied to sit for the exam, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on “View Checklist” next to the “Exam Candidate” heading. This checklist will show the date that each of your passing scores are processed by the VBOA. And since I just logged into my account to jog my memory of where to find the checklist, I noticed that my AUD score took them 15 days to process from the NASBA score release date. I think my last FAR attempt took longer than that, but dates aren't displayed for failing scores, just the person who processed those scores. Hopefully the Prometric in Glen Allen remains open tomorrow and FAR doesn't defeat me once again because that one empty box on my checklist really needs to be filled. 🙂

Thank you, I read a post from this girl she was registered from Iowa and she was in a similar situation. Iowa board rejected her license application and told her that she was 14 days late in taking the exam. Although her NASBA score report showed credit in each exam and showed different expiration date. I freaked out after reading that post. In Iowa I think they count 18 months from the day you sit for your first test. But I just checked on VA's website it says 18th month clock starts from the day you pass your first exam. Its kind off confusing all the states should agree with NASBA dates. I will share the post with you guys, I wonder if this happened to one person only or more people.
