Score Release Cutoff Question

    Hey everyone,

So regarding the August 4th score release, I’ve seen that the cutoff day to receive your score on that day was July 20th. I took my exam (FAR) on July 20th, but what’s worrying me is the extra “and the AICPA receives your data files from Prometric by 11:59pm” bit that’s included as a requirement to be part of that score release.

I got out of my exam probably around 8pm or 9pm, so that left like 3 hours for the AICPA to receive my “data file.” Does anyone know how long it takes for Prometric to send the data? Anyone have a similar experience where they were/weren’t included in the score release? I’m eager to find out my score, and now I’m worrying that I mightl have to wait until August 24th.

Hey! I was in the same situation as you and wanted my scores asap so I took my exam on the last day possible at 5pm. The test was four hours so I didn't finish until 9. When you hit that submit button, your scores are automatically sent to them. There is no wait period or anything special that the people at the testing center have to do in order to send the scores off. I got mine on time for the next score release. I think you are fine since you took FAR and it's not like you may be in the bubble (for BEC written communication )

    BEC - 76 (1/24/15)
    REG - 82 (4/13/15)
    AUD - 89 (5/31/15)
    FAR - 78 (8/16/15)

Starting right now I'll be strong
    I'll play my fight song
And I don't really care if nobody else believes
'Cause I've still got a lot of fight left in me

Awesome, thanks! That makes me feel a lot better. I was thinking they would get the results instantly, but this line from the NASBA website on score release had me worried:

“For the vast majority of candidates, the AICPA receives the Exam data files from Prometric within 24 hours after a candidate completes the Exam”

That makes it sound like it's a longer process, so it's a relief to hear you got your score on the target release day. Thanks again!
