I realize that no one ever really gets there score changed based on everything I’ve read about this, but considering the fact that BEC has the writing part, and it’s possible that a point could have been missed there, would it be worth it to try? Thoughts please.

Sorry but no……its still not worth it. When a score is so close in BEC its reviewed multiple times, and you'll never get the AICPA to fess up that something got by them.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

I had a 74 on BEC in August and thought about it, but I really don't think it's worth it. Especially since BEC is such a small section. I was pretty down about my 74 and couldn't force myself to study again until end of November. During the week of Thanksgiving I put in about 40 hours of study time (of which 12 hours were the day before the exam – I really don't recommend doing that) and passed with a 79. I would rather study for 40 hours than pay a couple hundred bucks just for them to tell me I have to retake it. Honestly I really wish I had done that study time in September and passed in early October, but you live and learn. If you get time off for work over Christmas, I would recommend taking those few weeks and knocking out the exam in early January.

I will NOT recommend it. Per AICPA's website, only less than 1% of all score review request resulted in score change since the inception of CBT.

Below is what AICPA's website says:

“Score review is a service to candidates offering additional assurance that operational quality controls in the scoring process were complete and the scores are accurate. Score review is NOT a re-grading of the examination, or an opportunity to find additional points, review content, or to have alternate responses considered. It is simply an independent verification of a candidate's Uniform CPA Examination score…..the verification for the written communication tasks involves making certain that each of the submitted responses was scored…..If you would like to request that your score be validated by the AICPA, you may request a score review. It might be helpful for you to know that all reported scores are subject to routine quality controls and are, in fact, scored twice before they are reported to state boards. As a result, the likelihood of a score change following score review is exceedingly small, or less than 1 percent of all requested score reviews since the inception of the computer based test. “

Be the one percent. I haven't done it, but I'll never understand people who say DON'T DO IT OMG NO WAY WILL IT CHANGE.

Unless it is some huge hassle to have the score validated, then I don't see the point in at least trying. Who knows, anything is possible.

    FAR - 70, 81
    AUD - 83
    BEC - 77
    REG - 70, 78

    Licensed in Ohio.

Now what the hell do I do?

It also depends on the rules for the state. Some states do not allow score appeal. IL is one for sure, and thats the only one I can speak for. Be sure to double check the rules for your testing state if you decide to go through with it.
