there is a difference between barely weaker and waaaaaay weaker….my guess would be that you dominated property tax the first go round and barely hit weaker on the sims and then bombed the sims the second time through. I got a 73 on REG getting C-C-S-W-W-W on the MC and W on overall MC and stronger on the SIMs…..long story short, i wouldnt read too much in to the score report

Please ignore the score report entirely, nobody in the history of exams has been able to make sense of them.

Wow, that is rough. Just goes to show you that for the most part, the scoring is garbage. I guess you bombed the sims and individual taxation?

Funny thing is, I had probably one or two calculations on the MCQs section and felt confident on most of the material, and I also felt way more comfortable on the SIMS in comparison to the first time I took it.

I agree with this scoring chart is garbage as well as the method used to score. Now I hope they work faster in giving me a NTS so I would be able to retake it before the black out month.

Also here is my NINJACPA stats:

    Total Question Attempts: 2900

    Questions Not Seen: 0

    Average Score: 77%

    Average Trending Score: 100%

    Total Time: 83:19 hrs

Actual: 73% (Same exact score as my first attempt)

I also did every single SIM on Ninja.

You can't retake it before the blackout month (June). You can only take it once per quarter, and I'm assuming this was a Q2 sit?

It's the sims. My score breakdown was almost exactly like yours (2 strong, 3 comparable and 1 weak), but I scored stronger in Sims and ended up with an 83.

How are you tackling the sims?

Are you utilizing the IRC feature correctly?

I was able to find quite a few answers in the IRC. Honestly I feel that sometimes the sims are just research questions. A lot of the time the answers are spelled out in the IRC/AL.

@Club300 I used the IRC but it was useful only for the research question and one other. The rest were all material I never really covered in my review but may have gone over it in my taxation courses 2 years ago.

Also, I used NinjaCPA and did every single SIM there was as many times I needed to until I understood the concepts and what I was doing and how I was getting the right/wrong answers.

It's definitely the Sims. I realize we're talking about REG here, but on my AUD exam, I scored weaker on 4 MCQ areas, stronger on 2, and weaker overall on MCQs, but a stronger on Sims got me a 78.

What all this suggests to me is that if you get “weaker” on MCQs or Sims, you'd better get “stronger” on the other one, or you're going to fail.
