   I am going to have my very first CPA exam (REG) later this month. Do they provide us with enough scratch paper and pencil? I am kind of old fashion that I function well when I work problems with pencil and paper as opposed to computer screen.

   I took it yesterday. They gave me 2 sheets front and back, and said I was welcome to more if I needed it. I don't know if that's typical or not.

   REG - 1.30.2012
   BEC - May 2012
   AUD - July 2012
   FAR - August 2012

   Thanks! At least this a news of relief! I am sitting for the test in California. I don't know why on my NTS info sheet, they say that pencil and paper won't be provided and it almost broke my heart. By the way, I hope your exam went well. How was it? and which parts of the tax was heavily tested?

   It's unlimited. My test center hands over about 7 sheets of paper. My pencils always go flat though :(

   Yes, they provide you with a blank Prometric booklet that you can use as scratch paper. And they provide you with 2 pencils as well. If you ever need more, just raise you hand and they'll come over and bring you more.

    Prometric let me keep my pencil after I confessed to gnawing on the eraser all through FAR . . . The gal said, "CPA exam? Completely understandable."
