I got BEC on Feb. 28….potentially my very last exam. But I keep thinking about checking my Auditing score!

Im just afraid that if I failed, than I would be so devasted to keep on studying for BEC. However, if I passed, it would be a huge motivator for me. Im torn! And all the while I keep on having that itch to check it.

Im just scared to look because last time I took Auditing, I felt great after the exam, but got a 69. This time, I felt great again. So I really dont know how its going to be.

    What should I do??

    FAR-81!!
    AUD-69, Retake: 84!!
    REG-86!!
    BEC-81!!

The fact that you know your score is available and you haven't looked is baffling to me. I check my score 5 days before the score release just in case there is a first-time-ever fluke of my score being posted ridiculously early. Once it gets to score release time, I probably check 50 times a day. I can't sleep when I'm waiting for my score.

If you have the ability to truly block it out of your mind, then use that ability and don't look. Focus 100% on your next exam and check afterwards. However, if it were me, not looking would be way too distracting. The thought of the score being available would have me looking at it IMMEDIATELY no matter what. I just couldn't stop myself.

What's more distracting to your current studying… the thought of looking or potential knowledge of a failing score? whichever is more distracting to your current studying, avoid that in my opinion.

    Good luck!!!

    FAR - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER)
    AUD - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES)
    BEC - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES)
    REG - 2013 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES + NINJA AUDIO)

    ETHICS - 2013 - PASSED

DONE!!! Thank you A71 for all the support! Hiya!!!

If your at peace not knowing your score that should be out and not think about it until after bec. The fact that your worrying about this and not 100% studying for bec leads me to believe its causing you more harm by not checking. I was in the same dilemma and checked. I could not have focused on my aid test without knowing. Good luck!,

I'd check if it was me, because I'd waste a lot of study time thinking if I passed or not.

    F - 85 (11/2012)
    R - 87 (1/2013)
    A - 92 (2/2013)
    B - 90 (4/2013)

    DONE!

Haha this thread invariably comes up every score release and frankly, it shocks the hell out of me. I'm saying what I'm about to say out of the positive message I'm trying to deliver…Check your score…what you're doing is silly. One of two things happened: 1) you passed (yay!) or 2) you failed (bummer). I understand how it might suck if you fail BUT you're a grown-up…life is full of disappointment. We still have to go to work and do a good job the day after our spouse/significant other divorces us, we still have to work with bosses/coworkers that berate us from time to time and act like we love and respect them. I'm not saying it's going to be easy to swallow if it turns out that you didn't pass, but what I am saying, is that much like many other situations that will crop up in your life, you will block it out and do what needs to be done to crush BEC!

I'm going to tell you a story because it parallels pretty well with my message. My senior year of high school, I was playing on a travel baseball team that was competing in a national tournament. I was playing shortstop and hitting in the leadoff spot. The game we were playing was to get into the round of 8 teams left. I was hitting .360 for the tournament with no errors to that point. But I was having the most awful game of my life…you can't imagine how bad I was playing. I was 0-3 ( 3 K's) and had committed 2 errors that game, one of which was Billy Buckner-esque (through the legs for you non-baseball fans) and caused the tying run to score in the top of the 8th inning. I wanted to leave the field. I wanted to crawl into a hole and never come out. But when I got up to bat in the 9th with a man on 3rd and 1 out, I cleared my head…I had voluntary amnesia of my performance to that point in the game and I knew I needed a hit for my team. Well, I popped the ball into right field, the guy on 3rd tagged up and we won (not the contact I was hoping for, but it got the job done!). Ended the game with 0-3 but with 1 RBI…the RBI that gave us the win.

The point I'm trying to make is that I was incredibly disappointed with my performance and it was hard to focus, but each time I got up to the plate or stepped onto the field, I knew that I HAD to focus. You're in the same boat…even IF you fail (which I hope you did not), you know that you will need to use all your energy to focus on BEC and then crush AUD when you face it again. Plus, you probably passed it and it will give you a much needed revitalization and lift before your match-up with BEC! Don't hide from a result that may or may not be what you were looking for because you're afraid you won't be able to control your emotions enough to focus on the next exam. You can do it no matter what!

I say go check your score and then celebrate the pass! Positive thoughts!! Good luck!

    Baseball,

Thanks for spending the time to write that long reponse. I took your advice and yeah…I PASSED with an 84!!! I guess you can say I'm a .500 hitter when it comes to Audit.
