Is it a bad idea to do this? I want to take them in oct. My aud credit expires in march ,2015.

I want to take far now, but i don’t feel ready to take it in 15 days.

And my busy work season hits in august.

For far, I currently have 2 chapters that I haven’t started and 4 chapters that I reviewed and did homework 2 months ago.

My concern is what if I don’t pass far or reg in oct.? then i only have one test window to retake it.

Should I just take a step back and study for far and reg and take them in oct.? Please give me some advices! I’m feeling angry now..

It's hard enough to remember all of the material for one of those exams, let alone two. Can you take one at the very beginning of the Oct/Nov window and then the other close to the end? That would give a good 7 weeks or so for the second one, which is about right for those for someone who works full time.

Yes, i can do that. I'm just not sure whether I should calm down right now and take far in Oct. or should I cram for far like crazy and take it in 15 days. If I fail, I take it again in oct. As I said i don't feel ready at all now…

Can you study full time until then? In another thread, it sounded like you have full days to study. I was thinking that if you study full time, you might be able to get ready for FAR this month. Or can you push it back just a little into August?

I don't think anyone feels 100% confident for FAR, and at some point you just have to go in and get it done.

No I won't have full time to study now except for friday and weekends. But the workload's not bad at all right now.

If it were me, I would probably try to figure out a way to take it in early August before work gets *too* crazy. That gives a little more time to get through the material and review, without facing the very real possibility of burnout if you put it off 'til October.

But I bet other people will have some good ideas. It's just kind of slow here on Friday afternoons.

My short answer is-unless you're straight out of school, and it was a good accounting school-no. Unless you're those things I mentioned, that sounds like a torture most people couldn't stand!

They're the two sections with the largest quantity of material, not a good idea to try to study them together. Take one or the other at the end of August- get in 25 hr/wk of studying. It will be hard during your busy season but it is possible. Take the other at the beginning of October and if you have to retake one or the other you'd still have Q4 to retake the one from Aug and Q1 to retake either of the 2. Hopefully you'll just end up DONE in October!
