Does anyone have any that ended in success? I just sat for FAR and am feeling uneasy about the SIMS but I’m hoping that’s not a death sentence….definitely didn’t get the research question and filled in zeros/guesses for two others due to time.

I felt like I bombed my SIMs on last month's FAR exam

I was over the moon to find out that I had passed! Upon checking my score report I found out I was ”stronger” on SIMs 🙂

    Good Luck!!!

    3XBEC:75 * 4XREG:82 * 4XFAR:76 * 7XAUD:77

I thought I completely bombed my AUD SIMS. They were so hard. Spent three weeks sick over it. Ended up with an 89.

I took FAR on 11/07/13 and I did not finish 3 SIMs because I just had absolutely no idea what they wanted from me. But I ended up passing FAR!

    Hope this helps 🙂

    B EC - 76
    A UD - 70, 68, 75!
    R EG - 83
    F AR - 75

If I can do it, so can you!

The stories above and my own personal experiences make me doubt the “no curve” line that the AICPA throws out. I've only finished one test entirely, which was Audit. I think I barely got through 3.5 sims on FAR and I only finished 1 writing sim on BEC. Both scores were 88s and both resulted in a “stronger” rating. If they stuck to the 60/40 split, there's no way I get those scores even taking out the pretest questions.

I took REG as my first exam, and I remember sitting there re-reading one SIM about 100 times just trying to figure out what they were asking so I could begin my attempt to figure it out. Aside from the research questions, every other SIM was from left field and I felt like I was guessing on all of them. I continued to study REG until the scores came out and somehow I got an 80.

    REG - 80 (2/28/13)
    AUD - 68 (5/24/13), 84 (7/11/13)
    BEC - 83 (8/29/13)
    FAR - 70 (12/04/13) 80 (2/10/14)

My problem with my most recent FAR exam was that one of the sims would've been 100% EASY if I could tell which perspective they wanted. I mean was it the lender or the lendee. Seriously, I worked to the last second on that sim trying to figure out WHO I am working for… and I am either 100% right or 100% wrong. I just could NOT tell which side they wanted? Frustrating

Thanks for the stories guys. Makes me feel at ease during “WAIT WEEK”. Longest 7 days of my life every time there's a score release. 🙂
