For simulations, do you only get points for correct answers and no deductions for wrong answers? For example, if the simulations has a question that says check all the choices that apply, would you get 100% on it if you just checked all of them even if only half of them were correct? Just wondering since I thought I read somewhere that you only get points for correct answers on the CPA exam.

No, you get partial credit for simulations even if it is only 50% correct. If you only got credit for getting the entire simulation correct, I'm not sure how many would pass their exams.

What I mean is, for example, some of the practice audit simulations I've seen have a scenario and then they ask you the check all the boxes that apply to that scenario. If there are 6 possible boxes and only 2 of them should be checked, but you checked all 6 of them, will you get credit for the 2 which means 100% on the simulation? Or Will they deduct points because you selected 4 boxes that were not correct?

lol, I would imagine they would deduct points for that. Becker has a few practice SIMs with the radio boxes and counts them wrong if they are checked and shouldn't be.

I've also never gotten a SIM on the actual exam with radio boxes, as far as I remember. Fill-ins and “select the best choice from this list of 20 choices” were way more common.
