Are all 6 simulations (7th being the research question) graded? I’ve been told that two are thrown out and are basically “test” simulations similar to the “test” mcqs.

I took AUD yesterday and had two pretty tough simulations, #5 and #6, and am hoping they are the ones that get thrown out, if this is true 🙂

Yes, that's for AUD. You'll have 6 basic simulations. Then you'll have 1 research question where a situation is given followed by a question. Then you'll sift through the authoritative language to find the answer to that question.

I took AUD this morning and I had 2 research questions?!?! Is this unusual, or has anyone else had this same experience?

Also the other sims were medium difficulty, but not really represented well by the Becker sims.

2 research questions?! wow, I consider you lucky. I wish I had gotten 2.

My 6 sims were made up of 5 medium, and 1 very difficult (in my opinion).

Getting 2 research questions is not uncommon for AUD. It's impossible to tell if that's good or bad, I think. I've heard people try to theorize that it's a good/bad sign of how you did on the MCQs, but I've yet to see anything authoritative to suggest that it's anything more than a rumor.

I'm about the sit for my portion of the exam (FAR) and I'm a little nervous about the simulations. Can anyone provide me with some insight on how they are graded? For example, I am taking the Becker review course and on the practice simulations they give there are some basically have multiple questions that build on one another so if I get the first one wrong and answer the rest based on my answer to the first question I get the rest of the portions of the simulation wrong also. In a situation like this would the whole simulation automatically be wrong or is there any weight given to correct logic (but wrong answer due to a previous wrong answer)? Thanks in advance for your help!
