    First off, congratulations!

I started this thread so that Cali folks have a place to go to see how long it might take to get their license. If you’re in the CBA process and have some dates to share, please do. I’ll update as I receive more info, but here’s what I’ve got so far:

12/27/13 – Application received by CBA

01/09/14 – Received postcard stating application was received

01/10/14 – Check cashed by CBA

01/17/14 – Received letter recognizing that I passed all 4 parts

    ✓ AUD: (02/12/13) 71 | (05/31/13) 80
    ✓ REG: (05/13/13) 75
✓ BEC: (08/06/13) 80 - Unwilling participant in the "Server Upgrade" debacle
    ✓ FAR: (08/31/13) 65 | (12/06/13) 75 - Beat the Cali Education Requirement
    ✓ PETH: (12/25/13) 86 | (12/26/13) 92
    ✓ CA CPA: (02/13/14)

Thank you for posting this and congratulations!

I'm curious about this since I have been reading a lot to see how much patience I need waiting for the results of my application. Most of things I read said you are supposed to get a notice saying they have received all your stuff and to wait four to six weeks for the final review results. Did you receive something similar? Or did they skip on yours to just asking you for your initial license fee?

    FAR-91 (10/28/13)
    BEC-87 (11/25/13)

    Ethics-92 (12/08/13)

These two letters you will receive from CBA

01/09/14 – Received postcard stating application was received

02/10/14 – Received letter stating that my license will be approved upon receipt of initial license fee

Then one day your license will appear online, then again wait for couple of weeks to get original license,,,,Give at least 2 months from the date they received your application

Shawn7 – I thought it was pretty fast too. I was expecting three months for the whole process, but hoping for something sooner. It's looking like it'll be sooner. Based on what I've read, I'm hoping to see a license number online in about a week's time. The funny thing is that even though they only received my payment earlier today, I checked a couple times this afternoon. Kind of like waiting for a score release, but better.

Micky – I'm glad it's helping. I have posted everything that I've received. Just like Shawn7 said, those were the two letters I received. I have heard of some people receiving the 30-day notification cards. At this stage of the game, I have not.

Congrats g.rosen! Just to let you know they only post licenses once a day similar to CPA scores. I just checked every morning. They posted my license a good 4 days before even cashing my check.

It's a wrap! It took exactly 8 weeks from the time the CBA received my application to get the wall certificate and official letter, then another couple weeks to get the wallet card.

Thanks. Since the CBA provided timeline isn't always as accurate as we might expect, I'm hoping that if people add their dates to this thread it will help candidates determine how long they'll have to wait to get everything from the CBA.

@sarita I'm on the same boat. I sent in my application on 02/22 and they cashed my check on 03/05.

I wouldn't worry to much about the post card (I know it's easier said than done) as long as you know they received your application. It seems like it's hit or miss with what they send. You probably noticed that I never received a 30-day postcard.

JR, nice to see someone on the exact same timeline. Maybe let's both try to post updates in here so we can see where we stand.
