I’m am a new member to this site although I have followed for a while.

I have two parts passed already, AUD (93) and BEC (85), both on the first attempt. I was working full time when I took the first 2 parts, and studied for about 2 months for each part. I have recently left my old job to study full time until I start a new job in the Fall. I will be taking FAR on 07/30. I have been using Gleim, and it has been great.

I was wondering how many other candidates have passed REG on the first attempt with only 1 month of studying. I am going to try to complete it before the next window closes. Would like to have all 4 parts passed prior to starting the new job.

    AUD -- 93
    BEC -- 85
    FAR -- 07/2014
    REG -- 08/2014

Obviously I haven't taken REG yet, but you could get the same hours in 4 weeks studying full time that I'm getting in 7 weeks studying part time. Treat it like a job–put in 8 hour days 5 days a week and extra on the weekend if you fall behind schedule or get stuck on a section. 160 hours should be plenty. Good luck on FAR and REG!

I studied REG in one month without a job. I was frightened of it since i had no background knowledge of tax since I had gone to college in another country. I still managed a 72. And it made me stronger because I knew I could definitely pass it in my 2nd go if I could muster a 72 in a month starting from scratch.

Point being, if you stick to your study plans and make constructive notes, you'll be fine.

Could I ask for a counter-advice please? I've been stuck on AUD for quite a while. i see that you got 90+ on AUD. Could you please give me a few tips on how to crack AUD.

I know CPAMommyof3 recommended NINJA AUD audio in one of the forums and I did buy it.

    Fingers crossed …

Good luck for your remaining preparations

    BEC - 88
    REG - 72, 78
    FAR - 75
    AUD - 64, 64, 3rd attempt!!!

I'm also a little curious about REG study times. I sort of want to procrastinate until later in July to start studying. I was thinking 3 days per Becker module + a week for review might be enough, but I'm a little concerned about memorizing tax.

    FAR: May 1st, 2014 - 91
    AUD: May 29th, 2014 - 97!
    BEC: July 16th, 2014 - 91
    REG: August 29th, 2014 - 88

Each person is different, but I passed REG by studying 12-14 hours per day for just 14 days straight. I took two weeks off from work and studying like there was no tomorrow.

It can be done, and I did it with a health issue and a 2 year old tugging on my leg wanting my attention.

    AUD - 93
    BEC - 80
    REG - 86
    FAR - 83

I studied for REG for a month and a half while working full-time – got an 81. I was an auditor at the time, so no tax experience other than my own returns.

One month while not working should be plenty of time to study.
