So this has absolutely nothing to do with the CPA exam, just curious to see if anyone on this forum competes in Spartan Racing Events? I currently just had to back out of the Spartan Beast in NY due to an injury to my achilles after over 6 months of training….. Working out is really my only outlet to release frustration from all this CPA work so now I’ll have to find something else for the time being.

Haven't done the Spartan Race, but I did the Urbanathlon the past 2 years in SF.

I was able to do it while studying for AUD/FAR. Although from the looks of it, the Spartan Race looks a lot grittier.

I did something similar to the “Sprint” last fall. Awesome time – although I lost my shoes of all things (came off in a mud pit) a mile in, but I still finished/hobbled all the way to the end.

I also did Warrior Dash (it was ok) and walked around Tough Mudder while a friend competed. Some dude got an electrode in his eyeball…which put a damper on his day, I think.

I did a Spartan Sprint in MA a year ago. It was fun, and actually somewhat harder than I initially gave it credit for. Tempted to go for a Tough Mudder in the next year in New England.

It's all fun and games until someone gets an electrode in their eye….
