Anybody from or familiar with the St. Louis area? If everything goes accordingly, I may have a job opportunity out there. Here’s my dilemma though. I am currently working for a huge (>$10B), multi-national corporation in Treasury handling foreign exchange risk. Making about $85k annually. The new position is in my old industry and in billing. The offer will probably come in at $115-120k, but the company revenues are only about $5M. I’ll essentially run all of the billing so a lot of responsibility in an obviously growing company.

Any insight into the St. Louis area? Any advice on the new position vs. current?

You'll have to let me know how to get a 50% bump in salary. I've been stuck at my station for years.

St. Louis is great. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else. You essentially have two downtowns, the financial hub in Clayton (EY, GT, and a few others are located here) and downtown St. Louis (KPMG, PWC, DT), and both have nice offerings. But like someone else said, 120k will go a long way. Soulard, The Loop, Kirkwood, Wash Ave. Lots of fun spots around the city to keep it interesting. Not sure if you have family/kids but if you do, there are lots of attractions (some are even free) like the St. Louis Zoo, City Museum, Magic House, the Arch and if you don't have kids, well, i'd be looking into lofts above Wash Ave but that's just me haha.

The Cardinals are in St. Louis so I would avoid it like the plague!
