I took a long break from the CPA exam after passing one exam and letting it expire. I have the 2012 Becker review course.

Can anyone recommend their favorite study guides?

I’m debating if I should buy the newest Becker course but it’s expensive so I’d rather not. Hoping for some recommendations on what can supplement the older Becker guide. Thanks in advance!

I believe Becker does (or did back when I was taking it) offer a 50% discount for past students. If you didn't already know that and that tidbit improves the idea of laying out the cash again.

When I finally got serious about passing the exam, I bought Becker and did everything at least once. MC questions I worked 3-4 times. I also supplemented in Ninja notes and Ninja audio.

    AUD - 93
    BEC - 80
    REG - 86
    FAR - 83

RDL82783, welcome to the forums! I personally would not recommend studying with the 2012 materials. I currently use Becker (2014 – 2015) as my primary study materials and supplement with the Ninja Audio, MCQ and sometimes Notes – all of which are GREAT products. Do some searching around the forum as there are a lot of threads on the best courses but it really depends on which you are comfortable with and your method of learning – check out YouTube for examples of the different courses lecturers. Ninja has also been used by several as a stand alone product for the exams, Jeff (jeff@another71.com) the mastermind of this site has extraordinary customer service and I'm sure would be willing to supply you with some information about the Ninja products. There are plenty of testimonials all over this site.

Best of luck and welcome to the community.
