Curious to know if anyone knows any state that does not have an experience requirement for licensure?

Just a caveat, MA will give a non reporting license without experience but you have to have a graduate level degree–a bachelors with 150 hours total won't qualify.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

Yes, I passed my final exam 10/11 and had well over 150 credits but had to wait for my M.S. to be conferred the following February to apply.

I have almost 200 credits and am pretty tired at this point 🙂 but I guess this is not the end of the road yet

Also, they seem to be picky regarding the credits that they accept. Community college courses must be tsfed to a degree program etc.

Right, I had to pretend I was enrolling in order to have my credits transferred. And then I “changed my mind” and dropped out. It was very unpleasant experience.

I believe Colorado has no experience requirement.

When you refer to no experience, you are referring to audit firm work experience right ?

California has this option “Certificate of General Experience – Non-Public Accounting”

Also CA isn't as fussy as the other states IE you don't have to have a graduate degree. Its asks for a Bachelors and 150 Semester Hours.

They do accept courses from Community colleges too.

Just to clarify, CO has 2 options as far as licensure is concerned, education in lieu of experience is one option if you have 150 credit hrs which includes 45hrs of accounting courses and 36 hrs of business courses. Read more about it below.
