Stress of facing score expiration

For those of you who’ve been there, how do you handle the stress of knowing that if you pass your next exam you’ll be done, but if you fail you lose credit and are only halfway done? I’m taking REG for the 3rd time in a few weeks, but if I fail again I lose FAR. I’ve been wound so tight stressing over it I’m driving family and co-workers nuts and feeling physically sick most days. I don’t want to be staring at having to tackle both FAR and REG, especially considering I only passed FAR by dumb luck the first time!

Barely failed REG with a 74 in May and have added the 10 point combo, so hoping I should be ok, but I’m going nuts stressing about it! Any tips on how to handle it are appreciated:)

    FAR - 75
    AUD - 72; 87
    REG - 64; 74; 84
    BEC - 88

    Done!!

Oh, LongShot, I know the pain all too well. In February of 2013, I was waiting for my 4th Reg Score. I was either done or back to halfway. Unfortunately, back to half is how that story ended.

I'm back in the same position now. I take AUD on Monday, and I'm either done, or back to half. Every time I feel anxious about it, I pull up one of my testbanks and fire off 20 or 30 MCQs to restablish the feeling of “you've got this.” It's really tough to keep focused, but there's this one little thought that keeps me on track this time: You'll be SO happy you did it – that you put the work in and busted your ass – when you get that passing grade and you're done.

It happened to me. I had to take FAR and needed a pass to be 100% done or else I lose REG and back to 50%. On top of that, I took it on a Friday afternoon, with a heart surgery scheduled on Monday morning. Don't think about losing a section. Don't let it enter your mind. Study with confidence, and lay out a detailed study plan. You've already taken REG, so focus a tad more on your weaker sections. Don't neglect the stuff you already know though. Review it lightly.

Just don't psyche yourself into more pressure. Forget about the possibility of a score expiration.

By the way, I got a 74. Lost REG. Retook them both and was certified 6 months after I lost the credit.

    B: 71, 73, 79
    A: 83
    R: 78 (expired), 77
    F: 74, 74, 80

    It's finally freaking over.

I'm in the same situation right now. I have 3.5 months to master FAR before losing REG. It's starting to feel a little overwhelming and I'm not even half way with the material. I'm really tired of stressing over these tests and just going to try my best. It's feels like the last test will be the hardest since it's FAR and I'm already feeling burnt out from already passing 3 exams. All I'm thinking right now is 3 more months of hard work, and I can have my life back!

    AUD: 74, 67, 76!
    BEC: 70, 75!
    FAR: 76!
    REG: 67, 73, 79!

Same thing happened to me Nov. 2013: if I didn't pass FAR, I would've lost AUD… except the cherry on top was the fact that not passing also meant I'd be subject to the 150 credit hour rules : /

Instead of trying to not think about these tough realities, I used them as motivation to study. Nothing gets you more motivated to study for one exam, than the prospect of having to study for exams that would come with the classes needed to reach 150 credits!

Embrace the reality and let it motivate you to succeed!
