Stress reliever?

What do you guys do for stress relief while prepping for the exam? I’m studying for my second exam, AUD, but I’ve been getting completely overwhelmed lately. I’ve been studying for 3 weeks and I still feel like I’m lost on several topics.. I’m ranging anywhere from 55-75%. I know “Rome wasn’t built in a day” but it’s demoralizing, especially since I failed the only exam I’ve taken so far and I don’t have a job.

When you guys are pounding out MCQs, SIMs, flashcards, or whatever it may be, what do you do to keep yourself from not getting overwhelmed?

    Passed all sections.

Lift. Heavy. Then I have no more energy to be mad at the study materials and I just truck along lol.

When I am studying, every 90 minutes or so I take a 15 minute break and do a chore, eat something, or do something else besides study. I think it helps keep me sane.

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 94
    REG - 86
    BEC - 86

I set up a speed bag and am “planning” to hit that to get the blood flowing. Haven't started using it yet so only time will tell 🙂

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

An episode of Seinfeld is a perfect 20-25 minute break from studying. 🙂

Good music is great to keep going. For stress relief, I think that varies a lot person-to-person. I get a lot of relief from a little while outdoors – checking the garden, taking a walk with the dog, anything to get outside in the fresh air for a few minutes. A quick workout can do wonders, too. But sometimes, you just need a day off devoted to relaxing. A lot of people say you can't afford to take a day off, but I think that sometimes you can't afford not to. Even a partial day can help. Like…an hour-long bath. 🙂

Daily walks or light running were absolutely essential during my studies!

I've determined early in my studies (total months took to study and pass = 8) that if I did not get fresh air for more than 2 days in the row, I could not get fast enough or accurate enough on MCQ. There were times that I had to walk in dark late evenings circling in my neighborhood just to get out and get blood going and stress relived. Also, eating clean helps but I could not follow much of that during the last two sections.
