    If I failed two sections where my score report indicates STRONGER on SIMS but WEAKER on MCQ, is there a good studying strategy for me…. I ask because I usually see the opposite. I am going to use NINJA notes for my next Attempts in order to hopefully be able to slice and dice topics with a lot of nuance. I will actually do the copying this time. 😉 Thanks.

    B: 77 (LC), 75
    A: 63,74,88
    R: 60,67,80
    F: 71,74,74 again, and 86 - DONE!

    Ethics and application - done.

    @FTZ,

    That is good you are doing ok on the SIMS, which means you understand the question and can apply the right principles.

    Are you using review materials that have alot of MCQ's to practice on ? How are you scoring on practice MCQ's?

    I found it helpful to use a 2 step process. First, I would go thru all MCQ's slowly (I used Wiley books) to make sure I understood the concepts of every question & answer. I would take notes on any incorrect answers or on questions where I was fuzzy on the concepts. The key is to know & correct why you get incorrect answers Are you not reading the question / answers correctly or do you need further study on the concepts? Make sure to track your scores on each topic.

    After going thru all MCQ's once – go thru them all again. Your score should be better the second time and again learn from your mistakes. In the end, constant repetition on MCQ's develops skills and identifies any gaps in your knowledge.

    I found it very helpful to also use Wiley Test Bank which was a great on-line tool to practice questions under quasi-exam conditions. Wiley also had very detailed explanation on questions if you get them wrong. You can also track your performance by exam topic, which can be very helpful to identify weaknesses.

    In the end, if you practice a ga-zillion MCQ's and can achieve a good score, this should translate to the actual exam.

    Good luck !

    Using Wiley
    FAR = 94 Feb 2012
    BEC = 92 April 2012
    AUD = 95 July 2012
    REG = 91 Nov 2012
