I have taken Audit 3 times already and have to take it again. I have used Becker and Ninja notes. I score in the high 80’s and low 90’s on the multiple choice but it still isn’t working for me. I spend months studying for the exam but am a horrible test taker I suppose. What other study course should I consider using? I can only take this exam twice more before my other exams start expiring. I would like to get this done on the next exam, I am working and studying.

Have u tried Ninja MCQ? I haven't tried them for AUD but I did purchase for FAR and BEC and I think they got me over the hump after failing for so long. I recommend them…they are cheap and very useful.

Best of luck to u…AUD is really not as easy as people think it is!

    AUD: 84
    FAR: 75
    BEC: 78
    REG: 75

    DONE-ZO!!!!!!!!

REG: Used Becker 2014 book, NINJA MCQ, Ninja notes, ninja audio

It may not be your study materials, it could be you! Have you taken a look at your study methods? If you are scoring in the 80s-90s….is that including multiple runs at the same questions? I've been very much against that process…I believe it gives you a false sense of security and makes it very difficult to focus on your weaknesses during final review. …which to me is absolutely key.

With all that….have you looked at Roger? I bought his CRAM course to use as a primary source of videos for both AUD and REG and they were great. I had very little experience or education in either of those specialties and was able to pass on the first go.

However, I want to dissuade you from looking for a magic bullet, there isn't one. The cornerstone is creating a strategy that works for you….and working DAMN hard to implement it. I would first look to tweak your strategy (more hours? Shorter sessions? Focusing too much/not enough time on sims?) Those kind of things are more likely the issue. However if you find that it's more that for whatever reason major topics or multiple sub-topics arent sinking in…that's where a study material shift is in order…and I highly recommend Roger (for videos…stick with ninja for mcqs and notes..they are hands down the best on the market IMO).

Thanks everyone, I will look into it. I think my study methods are pretty good but I won't say they don't need improvement because I'm sure they do. I will try the ninja MC, I didn't know they had MC. Thanks again! Hopefully I won't have to do this too many more times!

@hlarki1 – Just to give you a little insight- as I'm sure you've noticed, there are many repeat failing offenders on here, myself included (11 times to get the 4). Everyone learns, studies, tests, and applies materials differently. I too used Becker, but found that when I was failing, I was simply going through the material to do just that, just to get through it. I wasn't studying to understand or truly comprehend why a question was right and why some answers were wrong. Also, I began splitting my studying up into shorter periods; I'm not one to be able to study for 8 hours a day, hour after hour. The only person that knows how you learn best is you; we can provide advice on what worked for us, but you'll need to mold it into your own study plan. As far as other materials, I don't think I've ever came across a post from someone saying that purchasing NINJA MCQs didn't help, ha. In my case, I purchased it for my last FAR retake, and went from scoring 74, 72, 72, to an 86. Not saying it's automatic, but it sure as heck has a good track record. Keep up the hard work. You'll get it!

How exactly are you using the ninja notes? Reading them?

When I took AUD for the third time I copied the ninja notes (10 pages a day, copied them three times in all). Somehow the mechanics of copying them helped me to retain the information and I passed with an 84.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.
