I just took REG on 7/8/14 and am awaiting my score. I check daily for my score and hope it will be released before the others of late July but the release is scheduled for Aug 1, a couple weeks away. Should I wait for my score or start studying for the next section? What has everyone else done? I took REG in Q2 and got a 71 so I wanted to re-take it while the info is fresh. If I don’t pass again, it will be hard to drop one study section to circle back to REG (for the 3rd time!).

    REG (72), 77 July '14
    FAR (74), 79 Jan '15
    BEC (74), 85 August '15
    AUD 80 July '15

Material: Roger full review, Wiley test bank all four topics
Ninja MCQ: AUD and BEC retake

That depends on a lot of factors, like your general testing schedule, how many tests you have left, if you have a score or NTS expiring, etc.

You can't take REG again until October, so that's a long time to keep fresh on the info.

On my first test, I took time off from studying since I wasn't planning on taking any very soon due to work and school.

But after my second, I had to move right to my third since I already had it scheduled for early the next window.

After my third, I don't know my score yet, and I am studying a bit for the last one since I want to take it next. If I have to retest on my third, I'll do it later.

If this is your first one, you might want to keep taking it until you pass. But if you have a ticking clock, it might be best to move onto another one. There's still time to take a shorter one (BEC or AUD) later this window.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

I would shoot for a short one to take later this window, like Audit. Don't waste any time, especially since you have to wait until October anyway to retake REG in the case that you fail. BEC was super hard for me, so I personally never recommend it in a short time period. That being said, you can probably do Audit in 4-5 weeks and BEC in 5-6 weeks (studying 20 hours a week).

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

I wouldn't waste time waiting for score release to start studying. I only ever took 1 day off after an exam then started studying for something else. You can't take REG again until Q4, pick something else to take at the end of Q3 or first week of Q4.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

I agree with mla1169. I took 2 weeks off waiting for my FAR score and regretted it. In between all the others, I started studying for the next section the day after my exam.

    FAR 12/3/14, 87
    AUD 2/3/14, 90
    BEC 4/1/14, 88
    REG 5/27/14, 94

I took BEC last week and am studying for AUD. If I fail BEC and/or AUD, I will do that in October and take Reg in November.

    Ditto –

Like everyone else has already commented, I highly recommend starting to study for the next one!!

    FAR - 86 - 2/27/14
    AUD - 75 - 5/29/14
    BEC - 80 - 8/31/14
    REG - 89 - 2/27/15
    Praise Jesus! I'm done!!
