Do you read the book over and over?

    Do you take extensive notes?

Do you just do homework problems?

I have BEC scheduled for 11/10 and I have not gotten through much of the material. I’m almost done reading B3. And have done about half the homework for B1 and B2. It’s not looking very good. What strategy do you recommend at this point? I can’t reschedule.

IF I was you I would pound MCQ (reading the reason for the right answer) and go back to areas I am not doing well on (or that was complete guesses).

If you really buckle down it should be enough time. BEC is not too much material especially if you are already strong in some of the areas. Read book and plow through the lessons as quickly as possible. Try to leave 2 days to review. Then review any weak points. I did over 80% of REG in the last two weeks. The most important thing is to get through all of the material. For BEC I decided it was not worth my time to take a practice exam. And made and reviewed about 100 flash cards on my review day. This depends on you. I felt it may discourage me and result in me losing confidence. However, when I took the practice exam for REG I gained confidence, as well as valuable information into where to focus.

I read the chapters and then start working on questions. Here are a couple of techniques that I think help make the most out of my MCQ practice:

~If I'm working on a problem and don't know the answer or equation, instead of guessing, I go back to my textbook (or in-testbank resources) and look it up. This helps me stay focused on the material and reinforcing correct answers.

~Rather than doing a bunch of problems and then loking up the answers, I do them one at a time and get instant feedback, so that subsequent questions can build on the knowledge obtained from the previous ones.

Also constant Ninja Audio whenever I'm driving.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

    Thanks everyone!

I think I will finish reading the rest of the chapters and then crank out the ninja mcq. It will maximize my studying instead of doing the becker hw which will focus on one area at a time. I ran into the same situation for REG where I didn't leave myself enough time. Anything I don't pass I won't be scheduling until I feel 100% confident I can get through the material+review. (isn't that common sense anyways!) The issue I have with the ninja mcq is that it went down quite a bit when I was studying for REG. Hopefully I won't have an issue with BEC.
