I just recieved my BEC score 73 🙁 I’m hoping to retake it April 4th. I was hoping for some adivce on how to re-study

    1. Is between Now and April 4th enough time to retake an exam?

    2. Should I start over from the beginning and re watch lectures or do I treat this time as review mode and just take my own notes and do MCQ’s

I used Becker and Gliem, but I didn’t use Gliem as much.

    Thanks for the help

    REG - 63,74,70,81!!!
    FAR - 44,73, 81!!!!
    AUD - 51,81!
    BEC - 73,77!!

3 years later and I'm officially done. Never give up no matter what!

I have the exact same situation….failed with a 73. Except for me, I knew it was going to happen. I walked out of the center guessing on about half of the MCQ's, not having seen any of them in Becker before. I think it was just the luck (or lack thereof) of the draw…I am going to study in a review format between now and the first week of April and hopefully feel ready to re-take…. Might take a look at the AICPA released Q's this time as well. I passed FAR and REG with Becker only, so I'm hoping to keep it going here with BEC. Still dissappointed though 🙁

Anyone else have experience retaking exams? Advice would be nice before I committ to studying during busy season for the second time.

    FAR 77
    REG 82
    BEC 73, 83
    AUD 59???, 87! DONE!

I don't know if I should re watch all the lectures again. I plan on doing all the MCQ's for Becker and Gliem and taking notes again in the Becker book, then focus on my weaker areas and maybe doing more practice WC's. I want to take REG at the end of May so i'm hoping that is enough time for both exams.

    REG - 63,74,70,81!!!
    FAR - 44,73, 81!!!!
    AUD - 51,81!

I used Wiley so there were no lectures but I've read not to bother watching them again.

Enough time? Would you have scheduled it for the first time with 3 weeks of study? I guess if you're not working it's possible. I can tell you I studied 5 weeks for my 3rd attempt at AUD. Another 120 hours in addition to the first two times I studied. I rewrote the ninja notes 3x (10 pages per day) and did 100 MCQ/day.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

I haven't taken BEC for a while, but my suggestion would be to do every multiple choice question in Becker and Gleim twice while paying special attention to the explanations for why the problems are right or wrong.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

I am in the same boat, got BEC 73 twice in the last two windows. I am planning to retake in the first week of April. I don't think I review all the materials again (I use Wiley book, test bank and Ninja notes). My weakness is WC, I end up in the bubble each time and fail. So I am planning to focus more on the WC this time around. Thank God my FAR and AUD do not expire until 2015.
