If I study the flashcards really hard and do the homework over and over, will this be sufficient enough to help me pass this part of the CPA instead of reading through the whole book? Recommendations? Thank you!!!

I would suggest getting some sort of supplement to help guide you like the Ninja Notes and to take notes on the questions you get wrong just to give you a little more than just flashcards to study from. I think it can be done because BEC is basically alot of memorization.

Be careful when working the MCQ's or you will memorize the answers and not understand the concept. I'm with CPAMommyof3, you need something to go along with the flashcards. Get the Ninja notes and audio. Those will help tremendously!
