Hi,
It would be wonderful if someone could give me some advice on my CPA study plan.
I’m a Japanese student who recently graduated from a university in Japan, and currently aiming for the CPA license (Guam). I have about 5 months of free time till I start working in a company from April 2015. To study and get accounting credits, I started attending a private CPA school in Japan from this August (just like Wiley, etc). Btw, I was a beginner in accounting before I began studying.
My step-by-step goals in order, are the following:
◆ SEPT – NOV 2014 –> Complete all lectures for the 4 topics
◆ DEC – FEB 2015 –> Pass two exams in Feb, maybe FAR + AUD (about 2.5-3 months to study for both….). The earliest I can take the exam is probably Feb due to the application process at my school, etc.
◆ APRIL 2015 –> Start working at my comp (probably won’t have too much time to study until AUG 2015 since I have to get used to the working environment, complete training programs, etc)
◆ From SEPT 2015 –> Pass the other two exams before expiration, maybe REG + BEC.
To buy more time to study for FAR and AUD, a PLAN B I’m thinking of is to complete the lectures for the two topics ONLY, instead of completing lectures for all topics since I’ll probably forget the content for the other two topics I’ll take later on. That will give me about 3.5 – 4 months to study for FAR and AUD until FEB 2015.
It would be great if someone can give me their input on my schedule, advice, how to study for two exams at once, etc. Thanks so much!
FAR- 67, (May 2015?)
AUD- Feb 2015
