I did a TON of ninja mcqs and really felt good about the test. On test day I got nervous and overthought some questions. Overall felt good about the mcq, but the sims were an absolute nightmare. I got my results back and, sure enough, a 72. Was weaker in Sims, Ethics, and federal tax process. Was stronger or comparable in everything else.

I definitely overthought some easy questions (Ethics and fed tax process) and am pissed at myself for getting those wrong.

But I couldn’t believe how ridiculous the sims were. They were definitely the reason I failed. So my retake is July 12 and I really want to be done. It’s my last test I need to pass.

Any suggestions or words of encouragement?!

sorry you didn't pass. i am wondering this myself if i need a retake. i may have to get gleim and do all the sims. my sims were on topics not covered or not covered in depth to do calcs on. i got two research questions that on another exam i would have sailed through the AL but not for REG. the AL is jibberish to me. for now i am keeping up with mcqs so i do not lose anything while i wait for score on june 8. i may not even look and just order a new nts.

@Tcohle I highly recommend Gleim SIMS. Not sure how I did on my exam but I feel they do a great job of preparing you and it will give you extra practice with the topics. I actually got an off the wall SIM on a topic barely, if covered at all, in Roger and NINJA. However, in Gleim they covered it and I remembered thinking why am I even wasting my time…surely enough I got a SIM on it. I'm actually hoping that one was not the pre-test. 😉

Man, two of my sims I couldn't find on Gleim at all, book or sim wizard. I know your not supposed to look after a test, but two of the sims really destroyed my life and are bothering me. There really is no way to prepare for sims other than knowing your ish.
