Hi Everyone, I’m new to the site and took REG last week. I’m a nervous wreck waiting for my score. Anyway, I’m looking for some advice. I’m currently using CPA Excel study material (videos lectures, text, supplimental questions, mcq’s, and tbs’s). What are some thoughts on CPA Excel? Maybe I should wait for my score, but I’m trying to be as proactive as possible. I’m thinking about adding supplimental study material to my routine. What are some recommendations?

I don't have any experience with CPA Excel, but I bought the Wiley textbook (available in some Barnes & Nobel stores, or always online) for supplemental support after failing REG using only Bisk, and I thought it was extremely helpful (and then I passed!). I ended up using Wiley textbook and/or the test bank online for all sections and I found it MOST helpful for REG. The book, new, is usually around $60 so it doesn't kill the bank either. Good luck!

    REG - 65, 70, 80!
    BEC - 35, 62, 79!
    AUD - 73, 75!
    FAR - 65, 73, 70, 75! DONE.

There's a number of us using CPA Excel, and there's a thread discussing different study strategies and supplemental materials. I think its titled the CPA Excel study group if you want to search for it.

At the very least I would recommend adding the Wiley test bank. Many come back from taking the exams and say the CPA Excel questions are too easy compared to what they saw, and the WTB is more in line.

I went for the 10 point combo to have a different take on the notes, as well as the audio. I use the audio when I can't read over notes/actually go through the CPA Excel site (like during the commute, at the gym, background noise in the office). I also like the flashcard program. I've taken and re-arranged how Jeff has the questions laid out, and added my own for my personal trouble spots. (Jeff has it broken down into topic categories. I go in and group them based on what areas I've studied for and then the ones I haven't. I also added two more categories of JEs and formulas).

FAR - 73, rematch in early April
    AUD - 5/14
    REG - 8/14
    BEC - 11/14
