So im taking AUD tomorrow. I feel ok about it but since i just found out that i failed FAR, im a little concerned. I plan to obvisouly do a final once over of important topics tonight. I wanted to get peoples insight on what they though are the most important areas to focus on. Any last minute help is greatly appreciated . Thanks guys.

offlineMemberI'm still reeling from my FAR score as well. The best thing we can do is try to act like it never happened until we get through with AUD.
Seems like people are saying to focus on the reports: standard, compilation and reviews. Also know evidence and internal control very well as these are very heavily tested items. Remember to use your research tab to answer other simulation questions.
Get some rest tonight and take your time in AUD tomorrow. Read the questions carefully and try to come up with your answer before reading the selection. The selections are intended to confuse us.
Just think, you may do well on AUD. We'll revisit FAR later. I'll really be glad not to read this repetitive AUD stuff again. How many times have I read the words "risk assessment" in the last week? Too many.

offlineMemberWell I passed my exams and can't get motivated to study for audit tomorrow either. I think I've spent more time on this forum in the last few days than I have studying.... I took a practice exam on Becker and got a 74 so now I'm really like whatever.... I'm taking it tomorrow morning so I really need to get my butt into high gear so I can get the last few points I need. Good luck tomorrow!!

offlineMemberThanks guys. Yea Michelle119, i feel the same way. I have kind of slacked the last few days and am gonna spend a few hours after work tonight trying to finalize some important topics.
@CPAwannaBe- Any suggestions as for FAR? After i take audit my plan was to start studying REG or BEC. But now that i failed FAR i feel like the general consencus has been to jump right back into FAR since its fresh in the mind. You agree?

offlineMemberI took FAR at the beginning of January and failed. Took it again after tax season and I had forgotten everything! Take it now while it is still somewhat fresh. It should make the restudy go by a little faster.
Plus we need to get FAR and AUD done before the 2011 changes.

offlineMemberHey so I just got home and stuff from my exam. I actually noticed the level of difficulty go up after the 1st testlet and it stayed the same for the 3rd so I feel like that's a good thing. I actually haven't really studied more than probably 20 hrs in the last week and thought I was going to get killed, but I think I did okay. Nothing unpredictable, most of the questions were the same difficulty as my Becker's questions. The sims weren't bad, only 2 tabs out of all of them I was totally lost on what they expected really since there was no clear directions but they were the shortest tabs out of all of them so hopefully there wasn't too many points lost there. I finished with about 1.5 hours left, but I got through the multiple choice in an hour and a half and then got through the sims in about 30 mins each. How did everyone else think it went? Thankfully we only have to wait about 3-4 weeks for these grades :)

offlineMemberWhy am I here on the forums when I am taking AUD tomorrow and haven't really been studying much?!!? I too have been consumed in following the forums these past few days and I wasn't even waiting! Found out I failed BEC this score release and just picked up my results just now. What a demotivator! I've been through the Yaeger lecture and questions once and reviewing notes now. Not feeling too hot about it but hopefully I will get my game face on for tomorrow. I don't want to study for AUD again!

I just took AUD on aug 31. And I felt the exact same way. Used the same amount of time as well. So different from how FAR went when I took that last month (and passed, woo!!) It kind of makes me nervous that I didn't have the reaction of it being extremely difficult. I also used Becker and it seemed pretty similar although I did study a lot!Sidenote: Also, pretty crazy I overheard the prometric people talking and they had 1:00am time slots because there was such a high demand! I can't imagine taking a 4.5 hr exam at 1am!! holy moly!
