I am an applicant of California CPA license. I received my bachelor in NY and took CPA exams in NY Jurisdiction. To apply for CA CPA license, I need to transfer my CPA exam grades from NY to CA. I found a form “authorization form for release examination information.” This form is required to be filled by NY Board of Accountancy and mailed directly to California Board of Accountancy. I think it will take too long for them to get this done. Could someone with same experience help me out? Thank you.

If you need to rely on the state, then yes, it probably will take too long.

The other way to go about it may be to get licensed in NY and apply to have your license transferred over.

Or just keep the license in NY because it doesn't really seem to matter.
