I have gotten through all of the tax law and feel pretty good in it. Unfortunately I have not gotten into business law yet. Can anyone give me what parts of the law you think are the most important to study and hit right now?

And do you think I have any chance of passing :(? Thanks!

    Business law must-knows:
    – 1933/1934 securities law and especially the differences between them.
    – Contract law
    – Agency law
    – Negotiable instruments, especially holder in due course

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Thank you I appreciate it. I'm sure I won't pass, which is my fault. Just discouraging when everyone else is flying through them at work :(. But just pick myself back up and try again.

I agree with wombataholic. Those are pretty much what you should review before tomorrow if possible.

Focus on the securities acts, contract law, and negotiable instruments.

    good luck!

Zebby, I'm in the same shoes as you. REG tomorrow and I'm just hitting the BLAW chapters. I just went through contracts and it definitely seems important.

Starting a new job and moving really threw a wrench in my gears. I'll have to regroup after this REG test and pick up a new study plan.

    Good luck to you tomorrow!

    I also have REG tomorrow.
I totally underestimated how much time i would take to get through the Becker multiple choice questions.

I underestimated the MC as well, and it's also good to know I'm not the only one in the same boat of just hitting the law tonight haha.

With working full time in public and trying to balance a personal life, it seems almost impossible to get through these when everyone else is pulling you in 500 different directions.

Just have to stay hopeful and force more time to studying. I really appreciate the support everyone.

Count me in for those taking REG tomorrow. I've went through all the lectures and MCQs for Chapters 1-7 of Becker. However, I only went through the first two sections of Chapter 8 – Surety and Agency. From what I've heard and read, Agency seems important, and I've went through that. However, what about the rest of the sections from Chapter 8?

Right now, I'm going through the tax chapter lectures again to refresh myself, since taxation is supposedly 60-65% of the exam. I'm in the middle of Chapter 2 now and I find that everything flows together better after having gone through the lectures and MCQs once already. I plan on going through all the tax chapters tonight. I still have some Chapter 4 SIMS I need to try and conquer if I can find time. Then, if I have time, maybe re-listen to some subsequent lectures again (especially negotiable instruments since that lecture confused the heck out of me). My exam is at 6:00 P.M. Eastern Time tomorrow evening.

I took REG on Saturday Noon EST. It was my first time taking REG. I would say from BLaw must know are: Contracts, Agent, and Negotiable Instruments.

Here's a TIP for time management: During you opening 10minute, take the time to write down 2:35 2:10 1:45. You want to finish your 1st testlet by the time reads 2:35 (25 mins per testlet). I would advise to leave the entire 1:45 for SIMS if possible.

Best of luck to everyone taking it Monday!

There was a BUNCH of material absent from my exam that was “highly tested”… Then my SIMS were from hell! I'm restarting from scratch tomorrow and planning a retake in Jan.

REG exam was not fun. It was easier than I thought it would be but I feel like some of the concepts I should have had down pat escaped me. Plan to retake at the end of January.

I agree! I NAILED the tax which made me happy, the business law for not studying I think I actually did ok on the MC.

The sims killed me though. Those were brutal.

How much of the sims do you think we had to get right to pass?

Here's to hoping for a Christmas miracle and one of us passed haha.
