So I just BEC exam yesterday. It was my first CPA exam ever and it was certainly a stressful event. Let’s just say that I took the day off from work and there was a bit of day drinking….
I felt the first testlet went fine but two and three were rough. The WC was okay but I am unfortunately prone to typing mistakes so I did my best to make sure my responses were professional and grammatically correct.
I purchased the cheapest RogerCPA course (at about $600) along with the Wiley TB on iOS. I went through the video lectures along with the book and took notes. After that I went with MCQ’s; about 1000+ while taking additional notes. Somehow I still felt vastly under-prepared and the my experience with the exam was less than stellar. I, like a lot of first timers I think, felt that I didn’t come out of the test with a passing score. I guess we’ll find out December 9th…
Anyways, I am moving forward as if I passed and I am looking for alternative study materials for my next planned test – REG. Personally, I am not sure my Roger course was worth the money for me personally. Sure, the lectures were entertaining but I feel like I can get more bang for my buck. I am very conscious of the money I am spending on these courses and there is not a chance in this lifetime that I am going to spend my money on Becker.
As the title suggests, the BOGO deal offered right now caught my eye. I know people have made posts about their experiences with using NINJA but I was hoping to get some recent feedback regarding. If I took advantage of the deal, the REG package would be my main course of study. I would perhaps get the Wiley app again. With that, what I people’s thoughts using primarily only NINJA’s Ten Point Combo for studying? The only thing that has me concerned is that the first couple of sites I visited after Googling “CPA Course Reviews” didn’t really mention anything about NINJA…
