Congratulations to everyone that passed this week and good luck on your future exams.

I am sure this question has been asked before and buried in other posts but figured I would get any fresh thoughts on the topic.

I have passed 3 parts of the exam and I am taking BEC at the beginning of October for the 3rd time. My issue is that I received a 73 & 74 on the previous tries.

I use Becker and have access to the Wiley Test Bank. I have done the Becker lectures, read the book cover to cover a couple times, done all the Becker questions several times, filled several notebooks worth of notes but the 75 eludes me.

With 4 weeks left to my exam I am trying to determine the most effective and efficient manner to study considering I am working full time with 9/15 and 10/15 deadlines hanging over my head.

Would people suggest just hammering out MC questions on Becker & Wiley till I can’t see straight or do questions along with another technique such as reading the chapters or taking notes again?

I realize each person’s study habits are different but if anyone has found a good “cramming” method they have passed exams with I would really appreciate any and all advise.

My only suggestion is Note Cards. I used way more for BEC than REG because there is just a lot of material to memorize. Get down the COSO framework and all of the rules, and make them for all of the formulas for cost and finance. Also use them for some of those tricky IT terms and IT controls. If you have covered it this many times, I doubt reading it will make that much of a difference. I think note cards and then practicing more problems is the way to go. Also note cards help you to have the key terms available when working the written communication. Good Luck you are almost there!

I found it effective to just pound MCQ's over and over. I used NINJA MCQ, and found several questions on the exam straight out of the material.

I think this is purely mental. You have passed the other 3. Put in 75% of the effort you put into FAR/REG and you'll be pleasantly surprised!
